Gorrick has access to a range of distinctive established all weather race courses with different topography providing for a good mix of racing to suit all rider and event types. So it's the best all-round rider that wins, not just the flat or hill climb specialists.

Scroll down for venue descriptions, map hyperlinks to exact entry points, and the nearest available postcode to enable your Sat Nav. Please note that many of the venues do not have a physical post code so we have used the nearest available property as a reference, you should always follow the yellow Gorrick Road Signs and consult a map for pinpoint locations. Some of the venues are private land and future use could be jeopardised by riding at times other than race days.

Hungry Hill, Aldershot

This venue has lots of flowing single track in the pine woods mixed with hard pack fire trails coupled with plenty of open heath land areas so with all that choice of trails you will never know what’s coming next. Hungry Hill has a good choice of steady climbs and the reward is a massive descent all the way back to the Arena, never mind the views across to the Hog’s Back and on a clear day Canary Wharf. The ground varies from hard packed sand to a gravel around the course which is the best draining venue for all weather conditions. Good parking on the sandy Arena which very close to some great spectating spots.

[ Entrance Map ] GU11 1PZ is the nearest post code and you enter the venue off Bourley Road.

Crowthorne Wood, Crowthorne

[ 3D Landscape » ] Crowthorne Wood is really our home venue, where it all started back in the day. The short uphill start leads into a fast fire road descent - take care here - but once out onto the lap the course opens out into endless choices of lovely smooth flowing single track in the open and in amongst the trees, giving a different course every time. Some short sharp climbs test your legs and the variety of technical challenges keep you on your toes. The Corkscrew is a love it or hate it feature as it twists and dips through a series of ridges. Our advice, select a middling gear and maintain a steady pace keeping clear track in front of you to look ahead. The finishing loop offers spectators a good view of the riders returning to the finish then riding away, climbing and then descending, to finish a few minutes later.

[ Entrance Map » ] The competitor and spectator vehicle entrance is part way along the B3348 Bracknell Road. The parking is on forestry fire roads approximately 1/2 mile from the registration point just to the east of the A3095 on the Devil's Highway Roman Road. Please DO NOT park on the verge of the A3095.
The nearest post code is RG45 6AR.

Minley Manor, Yateley

This venue has become well established and holds the 12:12 TORQ in your SLEEP endurance event as well as other Gorrick races and has the benefit of 2 different Arena areas. The lower fields provide plenty of room for the large Torq in your Sleep Arena and good camping, whilst the top fields also make a great Arena and parking areas. Both areas give good vehicle access direct to the road. Both Arenas give direct access to numerous areas of woodland, heathland and forest single tracks linked by excellent swooping fire roads and tracks. There’s some interesting climbs with plenty of recovery time and even some tarmac sections.

Since 2008, many sections have quickly become classics such as Banksy, Sponge Bob, Back to Front, Double Dip, Sunset Wood and not forgetting the Bridge to Nowhere. Expect a different course at every event as we are spoilt for a choice with the tracks and paths throughout the woods and fields. This area drains well and is used all year round.

[ Map » ] The bottom entrance is a good tarmac to gravel road off the main A327 Minley Road, and only a minute from the M3 junction 4a.

[ Map » ] The top entrance is directly off the roundabout at the junction of the Fleet Road and Minley Road, just 5 minutes from the MS junction 4a and leads to a good hard surfaced road into the top fields.
GU17 9LP is the nearest postcode for the top entrance near the A30.

Highlands Farm, Frimley Green

Gorrick hold a long lease on this excellent parcel of land and the team have invested considerable time and effort since 2016 in creating a perfectly formed mountain bike venue. Highlands Farm is a great venue for racing but don’t expect much of a rest as the course twists and turns through the woodland, rising and falling with a short climb to the ridge from which a variety of routes flow off in every direction. The whole area is open mixed woodland, fern covered gullies and pine forest, it’s well-draining with good parking on fire breaks and within the woods. It is a particularly good venue for watching the action, so you can follow the progress of your friends and family during the event. The grassy Arena area gives access to the Start area and the course flows away then returns close to the Arena several times. The road near the venue has recently been tarmaced.

Frith Hill, Deepcut

[ 3D Landscape » ] Introduced for the 2005 Spring Series Frith Hill has proved to be a popular venue. The large hard standing car park right next to the Start area gives good access for those watching the racing. The mixed woodland of pine trees with open heathland results in a nice mix of gravel bashes, swooping single track, plenty of open woodland tracks, some testing short climbs and descents together with some tricky dips and bomb holes to challenge the unwary.

[ Entrance Map » ] Follow the B3015, the entrance is by the roundabout opposite the new Deepcut housing estate.
The nearest postcode is GU16 6SD. This is just 300m to the south of the main entrance.

Porridgepot Hill, Deepcut

[ 3D Landscape » ] Just over the road from Frith Hill but with quite different terrain. Based on the end of the Chobham Ridges overlooking the Pirbright & Bisley Firing Ranges with a good mix of free draining pine wood and open heath. Expect a mix of short sharp steep climbs and some longer gentler ones, with fast singletrack descents. There’s plenty of interesting technical areas, especially close to the canal to test your skills. The course can be extended to suit XC Enduro as well as classic XC racing with numerous excellent trails to use within a course. The car park and Arena are surrounded on three sides by much of the course so it's an ideal spectators venue.

[ Entrance Map » ] Take the B3015 Deepcut Bridge Road, turn off east onto Blackdown Road/Newfoundland Road past the School, turn R into Alma Gardens and R into the venue. The post code is GU16 6TU.

Windmill Hill, Deepcut

Windmill Hill is the alternative name for Porridgepot Hill when we are using the Arena and parking on the playing fields on Cyprus Road. The course may utilise the familiar Porridgepot trails but it allows us to extend along the fence line for different courses.

[ Entrance Map » ] Take the B3015 Deepcut Bridge Road, turn off east onto Blackdown Road/Newfoundland Road, turn L at the Spar shop into Cyprus Road and follow the car parking signs onto the playing field.

Tunnel Hill - East and West courses, Mytchett

[ 3D Landscape » ] Tunnel Hill is an exceptional area for mountain biking with such a large area and dozens of route choices on good established tracks. The ground drains well thanks to the underlying gravel and sandy base, giving some excellent racing conditions and a different course every visit. There’s plenty of big hills if needed, but also loads of gentle tracks to suit all types of rider.

Currently the land is being rested by the Defence Infrastructure Organisation and major forestry work has recently taken place.

GU12 5RR is the nearest postcode which is Keogh Barracks. If you're approaching from Mytchett continue on Mytchett Place Road past the Barracks for 600m to the venue entrance on your left. Once into the venue please continue to the car park at the top of the hill.

Ash Common Firing Ranges, Ash Vale

Ash Firing Ranges is another great venue which we occasionally use when the Ranges are shut. Its close proximity to Tunnel Hill provides for terrain of a similar nature with track and fire roads in more open heathland with limited woodland, together with plenty of open grassed areas around the shooting butts. The ground drains well thanks to the underlying gravel and sandy base and gives a really good course on a variety of tracks which hold up to the weather well.
