Brass Monkeys R3 - The Winter Warmer: Results and Photos
by Paul Howard, 27 Jan 19. Results [ 1» ] Photos [ 1» ]
Round 3 may have been called The Winter Warmer but it was decidedly brisk on course with the strong north westerly blowing through the exposed sections. Riding hard to keep warm seemed to be the best thing to do! I reckon many riders were surprised at the trail conditions as after Saturday afternoons very heavy rain I'm sure a lot more water and sticky mud was expected - but it was all so ride able. Yet again this proves just how great Minley is as an all-weather venue. It's also no doubt thanks to the very hard working trail team who designed another peach of a lap. So different to rounds 1 and 2 as promised with a good flow to it.
Well done everyone for supporting the Brass Monkey Series. It's been great to see so many riders taking part and many for their first time. Gorrick extends it's thanks to all the Sponsors and Supporters who help make the events happen; Four4th Lights for the prizes, Mountain Trax for the number boards, the caterers, and all the behind scenes staff.
