TORQ in Your Sleep: Children's Race Details, Charity Lap, looking ahead to the Autumn Classics

Well, entry for the 12:12 is now full and closed, so just a final word or two about it, before moving on to the Autumn Classics.
12:12 Charity Lap
If you are not riding the 12:12 event, but would like to come along and be part of it, then as part of our work with the Surrey Air Ambulance this year, we are offering a Charity Lap for riders aged 16 and over. Registration for this is on Sunday morning between 10 and 10.45 and costs £10. You will start riding at 12.15 and your lap will be timed.
Children's Olympic Races
Registration for the Children’s Olympic races for confident riders aged 6 to 15 will open at the Arena at 3pm on Saturday afternoon and the races will start at 4pm. Entry will cost £5 and again the proceeds will be going to the Surrey Air Ambulance. There will be age categories and each category will ride a stated number of short laps. The races will not be timed, but there are medals for the first 3 finishers in each category and goody bags for everyone. If they put their number in the prize bin when they finish, one will be drawn out at the Arena after all the races finish and one lucky rider will win a spot prize too.

Autumn Classic XC Races
Moving into the Autumn, the Gorrick Endura Autumn Classics are a great way to finish your season with a buzz on two of our great race courses. Firstly kicking off at Tunnel Hill which is a real favourite with some of the sweetest trails around. Event two is, as ever, at Gorrick's spiritual home of Crowthorne Wood and will be our Special Anniversary Event, marking where it all started for us 20 years ago. As well as some Anniversary fun there will also be the Berks on Bikes Club Sprint taking place to add to the vibe. It always attracts a huge turnout so get your pre-entry in early to save queuing – online entry will be opening up next week see. Remember, that riders Under 16 entering on the day do not pay the late entry charge, so why not bring along your family too? Gorrick will again be working with Endura as the title sponsor for 2012. Endura are the award winning producers of cycle clothing that focuses on function and longevity without cutting corners on material and construction and it all looks great too. They’ll be putting up some superb prizes to be won.
