Spring Series round 2 at Heath Warren this Sunday
by Luke Webber/Jon Lucas, 16 Feb 05.
After sunny skies and a bumper turnout at Round one, the Exodus Spring Series moves on to Heath Warren, Hampshire this Sunday for some more cross country mountain bike racing.
In celebration of ten years of the Gorrick Spring Series, in addition to the usual engraved trophies for winning riders, there will be cash prizes for the best Elite/Expert riders. There's also £50 up for grabs, courtesy of www.bumpybikes.com, for the fastest lap of the day by a Super Master who completes their race.
The second Round will be a must for anyone wanting to strengthen their grip at the top of the points standings.
The course revisits some areas not used in the last couple of years and promises to be fast and furious, with someone to catch (or keep ahead of) through the twisty singletrack and infamous paint ball area North Shore.
To finish a great days racing the annual Varsity race, played out between Oxford and Cambridge Universities, will kick off at 2.05pm.
Entry forms and everything else you need to know is on the website, and entry on the day is as always available, so see you on Sunday!
