The third round of the Exodus Spring Series was greeted by some cool wet weather, such a contrast to Heath Warren, thankfully it didn't put you lot off as the turnout was healthy again. I think "sticky" was a commonly used word about the conditions, but with another excellent course on offer most of it held up fairly well. There are few points of note so I'll be brief...

  • The prize draw winner was 818 Alex Bottomley who will be off to Coed-y-Brenin for a holiday with exodus.
  • We are pleased to announce that Plan IT Recruitment are now sponsoring the Master/Veteran Women category with cash prizes.
  • Photos of the Novice, Sport and Experts will be posted during the week.
  • Many trophies remain unclaimed from last years Autumn events and also the first rounds of this Spring Series. A full list of those awaiting collection is now available here in news item 80. Please make an effort to come along to the Gorrick caravan at the next race.
  • If you found it hard to get a parking space there is an unnofficial car park at Broadmoor which was advertised. So for our return to Crowthorne in October check the location details on the Calendar.

Calling all "Retrobates"

Our next event is round 4 of the Spring Series at Black Wood on the 4th April. Just to let you know in plenty of time, we shall be running another of our 1 lap sprint races at Black Wood right after the Sport riders have gone off at 2.05pm. This time it's a RETRO race for all you "Retrobates" out there. Qualification will be bikes with no suspension of any kind and must be of pre-1996 vintage. Additional handicap advantage can be gained from having a lycra helmet cover, biopace chain rings and farmer john tyres. Bikes and riders will be scrutinised, photographed and laughed at!

The following weekend is a Rally Raid event at The Candovers where you ride from point-to-point choosing your own route between numbered offroad checkpoints and time checks, whilst following a time schedule.
