Forthcoming Autumn Gorrick Events

by Jane Lucas, 30 Jul 21.

After a busy Spring we've taken a break, but are now looking towards our Autumn/Winter events. They will be run in line with the prevailing Government Covid and sport guidelines at the time. At the moment entry will be by pre-entry only but we'll let you know if this changes and we can take entries on the day. In the current Covid circumstances, as ever there's the Gorrick entry guarantee that if an event has to be cancelled, you will receive a full refund.

Sunday 12 September Brass Monkey XC Endurance at Porridgepot Hill, Deepcut, Surrey, GU16 6TU – Confirmed with MOD

XC Endurance event at an outstanding venue with a 5-6 mile lap. Expect a carefully planned and prepared course by a very experienced team through heath and pine woodland with flowing and testing singletrack mixed in with swooping trails and stone fire roads.

As it will be late Summer with longer days, as well as 2 hour and 4 hour categories for Solos, there's 6 hour categories for Solos and Pairs too. There's also a 4 hour option for Single Speed riders and a 2 hour option for Fat Bike riders. The afternoon 2 hour categories are ideal for those new to XC endurance events and those who prefer a less busy course. There'll be trophies and prizes presented on the podium plus spot prizes to be won. Full event details and entry is open now.

Sunday 24 October and Sunday 14 November Gorrick Autumn XC Classics 1 & 2 venues TBC

We've moved around the Start Times for some of the categories so please check yours. We are also trialling combined start solely female category races mid-morning too.

Expect a friendly, well organised event with a 4 mile prepped course with enough overtaking places to ensure highly enjoyable racing. There'll be trophies and prizes presented on the podium plus spot prizes to be won. The arenas will have full facilities including quality catering and toilets and will be very spectator friendly.
