Skedaddle Spring Series 2 - Crowthorne Woods - Results and Photographs

Crowthorne Woods was blessed with a warming winter sun and clear blue skies, what a lovely day for messing about in the woods on bikes. And plenty of riders thought the same as the turnout was tremendous. The enthusiasm amongst riders and spectators for xc racing seems at an all time high this year, and it's encouraging to see so many youngsters taking part too.
As a race venue Crowthorne is now into its 23rd year of Gorrick use but somehow the courses never seem "samey", apart of course from the interminable start straight! Thanks to the ever hardworking course design team they put in more hours preparing the trails than most people train on their bike in a month. The phrase unsung heroes springs to mind.

Round 3 on the 8th March is at perennial favourite Porridgepot Hill, Deepcut. This is preceded on Saturday by Gorrick sponsor and local bike shop Mountain Trax's annual mountain bike Demo Day.
