by Jane Lucas, 14 Jan 14.

HOW TO ENTER

Entry on the day is always available, but pre-entry saves queuing and money.

Next month sees the start of our popular season opening XC Spring Series - headline sponsored by Saddle Skedaddle who lead the way in innovative cycling holidays both in the UK and worldwide. You can check out their latest Skedaddlin’ brochure at Event Registration, and lucky riders will leave each event having won a Saddle Skedaddle mtb weekend break in the UK in a prize draw. Here are the dates and venues for your diary:

Round 1: 9th February - Crowthorne Wood, Crowthorne, Berks. Nearest postcode RG45 6AR
Racing at Crowthorne Wood is always fun and sociable and has some amazing spectating spots near to the finish. There’ll be a great course using the best of what is on offer there with some typical Gorrick tweaks. Pre-entry closes late on Tue 4 Feb.

Round 2: 2nd March - Caesar’s Camp, Aldershot, Hants. Nearest postcode GU11 1PZ

Round 3: 23rd March - Hungry Hill, Aldershot, Hants. Nearest postcode GU11 1PZ

Round 4: 13th April - Porridge Pot Hill, Deepcut, Surrey. Nearest postcode GU16 6TU

Mountain Trax of Wokingham our number board sponsor will be at each event, as will our Series trophies sponsor Four4th Lights, Little Dean the cycle mechanic, the 1stGear Cycles trade stand and more. As usual there will be a full range of facilities.

There will be a large prize pool and, at each round, spot prizes can be won from your generous local mtb shops with Owens Cycles, Beyond Mountain Bikes, and 1st Gear Cycles already confirmed. Remember, you need to take part in at least 3 events out of the 4 to be a Series contender. Expert riders will, as usual, be competing for prize money which will be rolled over and awarded to the Series winners.

You can pre-enter online now, and please remember to bring your rider receipt with you if you do. Otherwise, you can always enter on the day, as usual. Full details are on our web site and pre-event course updates will be on Twitter and Facebook. See you there!
