Round 3 - The Hangover. Where else in the country could 500 riders successfully race offroad after weeks of rain? Ash Ranges proved a worthy venue with a classic enduro course involving plenty of climbs rewarded by good fun singletrack and descents. As usual the 4 hour riders got the best of the course for a couple of laps before some sections cut up and the water began to pool. But a bit of splashing around harms no one!
What was your favourite trail? "Alphabet Junction" had to be the place to gain time if your rivals opted for the easier B or C lines, but the A line was definitely the most fun to leap off and far quicker. If you want to ride on Ash again please be aware that it is a LIVE FIRING range, so do not enter when the red flags are flying. Also keep off the sand butts. Thank you, as our future use depends on maintaining a good relationship with the Military landowners.
Our official event photographer Joolze Dymond made the long trip down from Bradford to lie in a ditch to capture your muddy faces in action. Her images will be uploaded in due course which can be accessed via the links above.
So just the final round to go on the 26th January at Tunnel Hill. A venue that is packed with fun trails so expect more singletrack. Following the race will be a Series Prize Presentation. We look forward to seeing you there.
