Merida Brass Monkeys R3 - 22nd January - Last chance to enter

by Jane Lucas, 13 Jan 12.

The last round of the very popular Brass Monkeys Series is at Hungry Hill, Aldershot (nearest Post Code GU11 1PZ) on SUNDAY 22nd JANUARY.

PREVIEW VIDEO

The picturesque 8 mile lap containing 1000ft of total ascent will encourage 'granny ring racing', but it will all be worth it for the great fast flowing descents and the spectacular views which follow. There's plenty of cheeky single track, drops and dips which will make some great vantage points for spectating. The course is free draining so there should be very little mud.

Lots of the categories are as yet undecided. Riders who want to be in with a chance of a winning a Series top 3 prize must have already scored points in rounds 1 and 2, and will need to do so at round 3, which should make for some exciting racing. This rewards the most consistent overall riders. Race prize presentations and the overall series presentations will be held during the day as soon as possible after the main contenders have completed their races.

As well as the crew from MERIDA our headline sponsor, the event will have full facilities including RFID chip race timing, commentary, music, Joolze our photographer, assorted trade stands, Quaver catering, toilets and plenty of parking. The SRAM truck will be there too, supporting all brands to keep you racing throughout the day. Most importantly there's our popular heated marquee with an in-race live results screen for you and your supporters.

The event is nearly full, so if you want to enter, please do it soon as there will be no late entries and NO ENTRY ON THE DAY. As before, please bring your MBSA receipt of entry with you on the day in case of any queries.
