The weekend after Easter, Sunday 1 May sees the epic Gorrick Exposure 100 Enduro at Swinley Forest. You can expect a superb ride with lots of great prizes from our new sponsor Exposure Lights ( www.exposurelights.com ) with winners trophies and finishers’ medals for all. This event is the South's premier Enduro event and has a unique feel all of its own. The challenge is not fixed by time, but by the number of 10 mile laps that you choose to ride, either 1 (Fun/Taster), 2, 3, 4, 5 or 7. You could also win a spot prize, as all riders over 18 will be eligible. We've already had lots of entries, and you can pre-enter online until Tuesday 26th April. Entry on the day will be available at this event, but you may have to queue. See here for full details of pricing and start times.

  • GETTING TO THE VENUE: Entrance map. Please note the venue is not The Lookout Discovery Centre. The arena is in the heart of the forest and is approached via Rapley Farm on the A322 Bracknell Road - northbound dual carriageway only. Follow the single lane fireroad to the parking and start area, approx 1 mile. The nearest post code is GU19 5PN.

  • REGISTRATION: the 7 lap riders start first at 8.30am and the 5 lappers at 9.00am. Priority will be given to these riders at Registration for number board collection.

  • FEED ZONE / PIT AREA: will be marked to the side of the race course on the first fireroad which is very close to the arena. You may leave all your belongings here such as, drinks, food, spares, clothing etc. or a helper! Please bring your own water, there is none on-site. Aim to drink 750ml of electrolyte/carbohydrate fluid every lap, plus an energy bar or gel.

  • THE START: will be a mass start for each category. Men and women all start together. There is no gridding, you choose your position in the pack, but faster riders tend to line up at the front and slower ones toward the back, which works well.

  • NO COURSE PRE-RIDING: due to the length of the course at approximately 10 miles - give or take a bit - the course cannot be pre-ridden. Therefore please approach the terrain and obstacles with due care and attention you always would when riding unfamiliar terrain. If you are unsure - walk.

  • PACING: no matter how many laps you choose to ride many riders will challenge themselves to a greater distance than they are used to riding non-stop. There will be people blasting off the front who are seasoned enduro riders and are quite frankly, awesomely quick, even over a big distance. Maybe you're new to enduros so our best advice is to start slow. Choose gearing on the first lap that you think you'll be using on the last lap, that way you shouldn't burn out and push too hard. It will pay dividends to "spin along". You'll have a very enjoyable ride

  • PASSING ETIQUETTE: there's going to be 100's of riders with a wide range of ability and pace on course with the busiest time between 10am to 2pm. Please be courteous when wishing to pass. It is the overtaking riders responsibility to look for a clear and safe place to overtake. A simple shouted warning well in advance "PASSING ON YOUR RIGHT (or LEFT)" is fine with a hearty "THANKYOU" to follow. There will be plenty of wider open sections of trail so a few seconds waiting in the singletrack behind someone can be the best course of action.

  • COURSE CLOSURE TIME: the course will close at 4pm. Riders will not be allowed to start another lap after this time.

  • LITTER: quite simply don't drop litter. If you're capable of carrying bars and gels out onto the course then bring your empty wrappers back and drop them in the feed zone.
