Gorrick Exposure 100 takes the biscuit!
by Joolze Dymond, 30 Mar 11.
Gorrick are delighted to announce their partnership with Exposure Lights, who take on the title sponsorship role of their incredibly popular 100km enduro. USE Events manager John Cookson commented on their new partnership:
“The Gorrick events are a testament to their turn outs. All of us at Exposure Lights are reveling in the chance to be a part of the fun and competition that is seen out on track. The Gorrick Exposure 100 is a real challenge, whichever level you take on and this is what we, as all mountain bikers thrive on”.
Traditionally a season ender for the Gorrick Spring Series, the mountain bike enduro on the 1st May attracts riders from near and far eager to get a real taste of a ‘longer’ Gorrick experience. The venue is at the honey pot of fantastic mountain bike riding; Swinley Forest and the event offers a classic 14km loop that will suit beginners but will also test the most ardent endurance rider.
You choose how far you want to ride with the option of 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 or 7 laps to complete in your own time – there is no limit, you know your boundaries! Exposure Lights will be providing an extensive prize list along with the chance to check out all their fabulous products and sample their friendly approach to the sport. You may find yourself racing a couple of their keen riders along the way. All in all the Gorrick Exposure 100 is shaping up to be yet another brilliant Gorrick event.
Head Gorrick MBC honcho Jon Lucas explains how excited the Gorrick crew are that Exposure Lights have joined forces with them for this popular event:
“We very much welcome onboard Exposure Lights as the title sponsors of our popular enduro. We were delighted that they approached us after enjoying themselves so much at last year’s event, expressing an interest to get involved with the event for 2011 as soon as they recovered from competing! We know with their input that the event will be even more enjoyable and we look forward to working with them to deliver another excellent event.”
Make sure you get your entries in early to ensure your spot; you wouldn’t want to spend your morning queuing now would you? If even the 2 laps sound daunting, don’t worry as the Gorrick folk have included a 1 lap category, open to riders over the age of 12, for you to dip your toe in the endurance waters.
