Spring Series - Round 5 Preview

by Jane Lucas, 15 Apr 10.

We hope that you all had a good Easter and have been enjoying the trails in the recent good spell of weather!

The penultimate round of the Gorrick Spring Series (Round 5) on Sunday 18 April 2010 is now at Surrey Hill, Swinley Forest, Bracknell NOT AT TUNNEL HILL as advertised. The entrance will be well signposted off the A322 and is the same one that we use for the Swinley Enduro. The nearest post code is GU19 5PN. Lots more points are up for grabs so why not get your entry in now? Online entry closes late on Tuesday 13th April, but entry on the day will be available as usual.

Which brings us to our upcoming Gorrick 100 Enduro Challenge on Sunday 2nd May at Swinley Forest, Bracknell. The South's long established premier Enduro event has gained a great reputation and has a unique feel all of its own. The challenge is not fixed by time, but by the number of 10 mile laps that you choose to ride, either 1 (Fun) 2, 3, 4, 5 or 7. So do you race or pace, compete against other riders or just the course? It's entirely up to you, but there will be a finisher's medal if you make it, and some great pieces of kit as prizes from Gore Bike Wear, Fox Clothing and Altura courtesy of local bike shop Mountain Trax our generous headline sponsor. There will be lots of trade stands to wander around during the day, massage therapists on hand to loosen up leg muscles and ease cramps and all the usual facilities. You may also be lucky enough to win a spot prize as all riders over 18 will be eligible! We've already had lots of entries, and you can pre-enter online until Tuesday 27th April. Entry on the day will be available at this event too, but we strongly recommend pre-entry to reduce queuing at registration.
