As the dust settles on the Gore Bike Wear Enduro Challenge there'll be many households sweeping away the dust and cleaning out the 'meaty bogeys', not my words but a competitors! This year saw a faster course than previous but just as unrelenting with a mix of steady climbs, fast flowing singletrack and some particularly windy fireroads. If you want to comment on the event please e-mail us at info@gorrick.com. Thank you for your patience when the Medics had to get on course to attend to the occasional faller, we hope everyone is ok.
Many thanks to title sponsor Gore Bike Wear for supporting this event and supplying a range of prizes for the top three in each category. We are pleased to announce Gore's association with the Enduro continues into 2008 and we can confirm the event will be on the 4th May - the Bank Holiday weekend again.
I hope you took the opportunity to visit the trade stands and especially Sundog Eyewear who are sponsoring the Autumn XC Races. If you're in the market for good quality keenly priced riding glasses you won't go wrong with a pair of these. They'll be supplying us with more product details soon, but you'll be able to visit the stand at Spring Series Round 5 on the 20th May at Frith Hill. Also returning to the same event as they enjoyed themselves so much are the masseurs who did a fantastic job renewing your aching bodies, no doubt they're equally as tired as the riders now! Another new partner The Cholesterol Charity HEART UK were performing free tests and reporting back results to provide advice on any courses of action to take to reduce levels. Visit www.heartuk.org.uk for more information.
