It looks like 2006 might be our wettest year of racing for a while as the April showers descended in between brilliant blue sky. We hope you found Frith Hill a challenge with a character all of its own, made up from a mix of great natural features such as the never ending bombholes (The Roadie Traps) and the tyre crossing (Pirelli Ditch). Our event photographer Guy Swarbrick was busy taking a few thousand photos at these and other parts of the course. Take a look at his website and order yourself a print, mug or even a mousemat. They should all be uploaded by Monday.
Thanks to series sponsors Exodus Travel, Mandee Siegert walked away with a biking break in the prize draw, all for just turning up to ride. No doubt she'll be looking forward to holidaying somewhere with a hot dry climate.
The video footage taken at Heath Warren went down well with over 1500 downloads. This time the action was filmed from a motorbike during the Supermaster, Master and Veterans race and replayed on the Sagem TV. We should have an edited version up on the website later in the week.
The Series goes on a seven week break returning on the 21st May for the final round at Porridgepot Hill, Deepcut, just over the road from today's venue but very different terrain. Take a look at the 3D Landscape view » to get an idea.
April 30th sees the Sagem 100 Enduro at Swinley Forest. The 10 mile lap will be broadly similar to previous years comprising all your favourite tracks, but will I'm assured be much closer to 10 miles - not 13! If the challenge of racing there is not enough to excite you then howabout the prize draw to win a Sagem 56" Widescreen TV and many other great prizes, just by entering and riding. And yes the TV is the same size as the one showing today's race footage. See you there.
