After the dissapointment of rescheduling Round 1 due to the snow, the Gorrick Spring Series finally got underway at last. With Tunnel Hill temporarily renamed The Tunnel of Love, riders were treated to a singletrack love fest as a perfectly crafted 5 mile circuit complete with a romantic interlude, plus plenty of the famous 'Gorrick' swoops and descents, balanced with a couple of killer stings in the tail lay in wait. All with trail conditions described by many as "amazingly dry" and "almost near perfect". Read more...

Snow flurries were the greeting for the early arrivals to Tunnel Hill's Valentine Special with many expecting a mud fest more akin to their usual winter riding conditions. But The Hill proved once again how far from the truth that could be as mud tyres were rapidly changed for something fast rolling. With the start of a new season it's great to see all the regular crowd and also very encouraging to meet so many riders new to racing. We hope you enjoyed yourselves and if you've got any questions or feedback from the day please contact Gorrick at info@gorrick.com.
To view results and all lap times please use the Results link above this item. Joolze Dymond - the official Gorrick event photographer - has now uploaded all her photos with her race report to follow. In her series of profiling Gorrick riders we have an interview with Masters racer Oli Pepper. Also to come later in the week will be the series points table and a list of the category sponsors and prizes. To qualify for an overall series position you must score points in 3 rounds or more. Another opportunity to win is the prize draw held at each round, all competitors aged over 18 are in with a chance. Number 30 Howard Dale in the Fun race has won a 1:1 Skills Session courtesy of Gorrick, Purple Bike Shed and InsideOut Fitness. Well done!
We look forward to seeing you all again in March at Crowthorne.

The lap is approx 5 miles and regular riders to this venue will find quite a few changes from what they may have become accustomed to! See you in the morning.

by Joolze Dymond, 03 Feb 10. Results [ 1» ] Photos [ 1» ]
After the first two rounds where weather was a prominent part of the series, how could round 3 be any different! Round 1 saw a monsoon while round 2 saw temperatures dip into serious minus figures. So with all these extremes the 3rd one just had to be tropical, didn't it? Ok so it wasn't quite but the racing was hot hot hot over the hilliest of courses. Joolze sums up the finale and gets reactions from the podium.
Merida Brass Monkeys - Round 3 Race Results

The heady heights of Parkhurst Hill and Ceasers Camp welcomed 100's of keen riders to the New Year Hangover - round 3 and the final of the Merida Brass Monkeys Enduro Series. The 7 mile lap had nearly 1000ft of total ascent encouraging 'granny ring racing' but it was all worth it for the great descents to follow.
The Army CU, Gorrick and Merida Bikes hope you all enjoyed the Series and the variety of courses and terrain each venue had to offer, we'll be back next winter with more of the same. As for today all the results are now available via the link above this item, and Joolze Dymonds photographs are up too, with her race report and rider interviews to follow in a day or so...
