Now that the XC season is over and the weather’s getting colder, there’s only one thought in our heads BRASS MONKEYS! So Gorrick and the Army, supported by Merida bring you the very popular MERIDA Brass Monkeys Series 2011. You can expect some outstanding courses carefully sorted for Enduro racing. Whether you are a sprinter or a slogger, a good strategy, careful pacing and a little pre-event preparation will always give you a satisfying result. So race to win or race to finish, either way any level of rider, regardless of fitness, can enjoy these events.
There are both 4 hour and 2 hour age related time slots to choose from over a 7-8 mile lap. There’s a 1 hour Fun event as well. It's a Series so all rounds will count and there will be a Podium presentation of trophies on the day as well as the Series presentations at the last round.
All the venues have the very best course features that we know you expect from us, coupled with a friendly experienced team, computerised chip race timing, in vision results with position and time, commentary, Joolze our photographer, trade stands, toilets, water, bike washing, paramedic medical cover and ambulance, radio linked mobile and static marshals and plenty of parking. Merida will be in attendance with their latest carbon goodies on display, Quaver will be hitting the spot with hot food and refreshments and Mule Bar will fuel you from the start with a free bar for each entrant.
Pre-entry has been open for a while (Round 1 is almost full) and will close for each event at 500 – please note there is NO ENTRY ON THE DAY. There are plenty of vantage points for safe spectating too, so you can bring along your family and friends on the day.
