Swinley Forest Cycling - 2011 Season Annual Permits now available to buy

Current permits expire on the 31st March 2011. Order your Annual Permit for the new season now, it costs just £20. All cyclists (aged over 16 years) are required to have and display the Permit when using Swinley Forest. For details on the permit scheme please refer to the relevant section on this website.

How great it was to be back at Heath Warren after a 3 or 4 year layoff to ride many of the trails that have been revived, plus a handful of new ones thanks to Pete Radband's sterling efforts. I had forgotten just how testing and physically demanding the singletrack was there. If it wasn't the start straight hill and fireroad headwind that wore you down, it was the requirement to be constantly manoeuvring the bike around tight trees or trying to keep pedalling smoothly through the motocross trails. All great fun of course. Even our bikes went home 'happy' with barely the merest hint of mud to wipe off from the one watersplash. Spring Series Round 3: VENUE CHANGE to Heath Warren Wood

As hinted in the news after Round 2 we're very pleased to announce that Heath Warren Wood has been secured as the venue for Round 3 of the Saddle Skedaddle Spring Series on the 6th March. All the hard work that the team put in to the venue during January to recover old trails and build anew won't go to waste afterall. So here we are back at Crowthorne in such a short space of time, but on an oh so different course to that in January. Thank you for bearing with us and understanding that the move from Heath Warren was forced upon us due to the landowners admin errors. We've had a manic four days prepping Crowthorne to ensure that you would still get a quality race. All credit to Peter Radband who has worked tirelessly this week, having already spent countless hours at Heath Warren preparing that great course.
