Blackwater Valley TrailTrax - Results

The grand open grounds of Wellington College were a scenic backdrop to the first TrailTrax of the year using the many quiet trails and lanes of the Blackwater Valley. We'd like to give a hearty thankyou to our regular band of Trail Trackers for your marvellous support as the weather again played ball to provide lovely riding conditions, and for the supporting families the opportunity to relax and enjoy a picnic whilst partners rode.

The checkpoint locations were tough enough to whittle down just a select few who obtained a full clearance of 2010 points but only Sid Hardy using his local knowledge managed to return in a masterfully timed 2hrs 59m so as not to incur penalties. As ever it was close throughout the categories and we're pleased to see some new faces challenging themselves to the fun of map reading under pressure!

The day was rounded off was home-made cake and the cookies went down a storm as usual! Followed up the prizegiving with great prizes from Mountain Trax who have faithfully supported the events since their inception.

The second TrailTrax this year won't be till the 8th August as we have many other mtb cross country, enduro and Test Valley Tour events before then. But make a note to get to Cheriton near the South Downs and Winchester for what is often a hot weekend, both on and off the trails.
